Groups meet beginning at 7:40 and are dismissed no later than 8:30

Open share groups are designed to provide an outlet of support. In the group meetings participants are invited share where they are; their story, their thoughts, feelings, actions. The format of the group is not intended to “fix” anyone, only Jesus can do that. Anonymity and confidentiality are key requirements in an open share group.

The groups provide a venue of support as we gather with people who are struggling just like us, some perhaps, with the same struggles.

Loved Ones Together

The opioid epidemic is taking lives through overdose and through the broken relationships of parents, children, siblings, spouses and other loved ones. The numbers are staggering. The stories are heart breaking. As isolated as you feel watching your loved one battle opioids, you are not alone. Other loved ones are on the journey with you, experiencing the unspeakable of opioid addiction.

Loved Ones Together gathers the first Tuesday of each month at Powell Church. We meet from 6:30-8:00. During this gathering, we fellowship, we share, and we have a speaker who shares information important for those on this journey.
Childcare is provided.

If you have any questions or would like to talk to someone who is on the journey as a loved one of opioid addiction, please contact us at (865) 938-2741 or email Brooke at

12 Steps As Spiritual Tools

Beginning January 21, Sundays from 4-5:30pm in the worship center.
We all hunger for healing. The 12 Steps lead us towards healing through spiritual disciplines such as surrendering to God’s care, acknowledging our shortcomings, reconciling ourselves to God and others, using prayer as a daily tool, and giving back what has so freely been given to us. The 12 steps are not limited to those who struggle with chemical addiction. Anyone hungry for a deeper relationship with God finds hope and healing in the spiritual practices of the 12 steps. Questions, please email Brooke at Childcare will be provided.
